Strangers Buy Formula For Baby And Mum Stuck In Motorway Traffic Jam

Baby Car Seat Safety: 5 Rules To Follow When Letting Your Baby Sleep In The Car

We love a real life story about the kindness of strangers – like this one…

A group of strangers helped a mum feed her baby, when she found herself stuck in a nine-hour long traffic jam on the motorway recently.

A crash between a cement lorry and a heavy good’s vehicle on the M6 caused a 30-mile queue, leaving Shelley Ruck, 33, and her eight-week-old baby confined to their car with one bottle of formula milk.

'My baby would have been hungry if it were not for their amazing thoughtfulness and kindness'

Fortunately, passers-by offered to drive to a shop to collect extra milk powder, sterilised bottles filled with hot water and some bottled water, which they lowered down to Shelley from a bridge in a jerry can.

‘It was absolutely unbelievable,’ said Shelley. ‘They saved us. My baby would have been hungry if it were not for their amazing thoughtfulness and kindness.

‘It was really horrific. If George had woke up, I would have had no milk and it would have been dire.’

Shelley’s now trying to locate the strangers who helped her out, so she can thank them properly. So spread the word and lets try to find these good Samaritans.
