London-based brand promises traditional British childrenswear - and delivers with its first range featuring Liberty designs
New childrenswear brand Shmuncki has launched, and its first designs feature beautiful Liberty prints, which we love in the M&B office.
The range includes long-sleeve vests, jackets, and all-in-one romper suits for little ones up to 18 months old. They are made from soft jersey cotton, trimmed with Liberty fabrics, in pale green and pinks.
Founder of shmuncki, Helen Walters, said: “As a mother myself, I noticed a gap in the market when searching for old-fashion styles for my two boys and decided to create a brand that incorporated heritage designs, teamed with modern trends and the colours of the season. I am thrilled to be using Liberty Art Fabrics in our first limited edition collection. For me Liberty truly represents British Design and quality at its best.”
Shmuncki has also launched its Harbour collection (below), which includes romper suits, hats, T-shirts, bibs, and reversible blankets, all featuring blue anchors, sail boats, ship wheels and masts.
Prices: Liberty designs: Betsy long-sleeved vest £18.50, Betsy all-in-one £22.50, Betsy jacket £24.50; Harbour range from £7.50 - £37. Available from shmuncki.com
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a happily sleeping baby. After hours (or what feels like it) trying to soothe them, when they finally drift off and silence reigns once again there’s something rewarding in peeking through the door, or checking your baby monitor and seeing your baby sound asleep.
The latest model to join the Out ‘n’ About range is the new GT pushchair. A good one for cruising around town or casually strolling down those country park roads, the GT has been designed with both the parent and child in mind.
