Hands up who loved building a den when they were little - or indeed still love to build one now with your children? Get involved with Save The Children’s Den Day!
Charity Save The Children’s latest fundraising campaign focuses on that most favourite childhood pastime - building a den.
Whether it was a bedsheet hung over branches in the garden, or a blanket between chairs in the dining room, you can bet that most children - and adults - have enjoyed the fun of a den.
From May 29 - June 6, children and parents around the world will be building dens to support Save The Children, raising money for children in need around the world.
The celebs have been out in force supporting the cause, with Kate Garraway, Union J, Little Mix, and Joe Swash all building dens with fun themes.
And watch the fun video below, with a Kevin McCloud mini-me talking about the architechtural strength of a good den.
Den Day aims to highlight the issues faced by children around the world who don’t have a safe place to sleep or play. In 2014, Save the Children responded to 84 emergencies in 47 countries – delivering life-saving food, water, healthcare, education and shelter to over 5 million people. The money raised by Den Day could help provide the vital aid children and their families need next time a devastating emergency hits.
Don’t forget to share photos of your dream den using #DenDay
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a happily sleeping baby. After hours (or what feels like it) trying to soothe them, when they finally drift off and silence reigns once again there’s something rewarding in peeking through the door, or checking your baby monitor and seeing your baby sound asleep.
The latest model to join the Out ‘n’ About range is the new GT pushchair. A good one for cruising around town or casually strolling down those country park roads, the GT has been designed with both the parent and child in mind.
