Mum shares joy for Aldi plate that gets her fussy daughter to eat

Section: Toddler

There is nothing more frustrating than painstakingly making your little one fish and chips, which yesterday they couldn't get enough of, but today they can't stand

It can easily turn into an hour of (failed) bribery and negotiations, just to get them to attempt a bite of food. Fussy eaters, eh!

However, Aldi has answered every mum's prayers with a GENIUS "Dinner Winner " plate that turns your little one's mealtimes into a fun game...

A mum has taken to a group on Facebook called “Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK” to share her joy at her recent purchase: “I really struggled with my three-year-old as she never sits still so we are constantly telling her to sit back down, also she is very fussy and doesn’t like meals.

"But bought this plate today from Aldi for £6.99 and she’s sat and eaten ALL her dinner INCLUDING the veg! Under the castle at the end is a pudding – she loves it!”

The plate divides meals into eight manageable portions that follow a trail from start to the finish, and if the child finishes all their dinner there’s a treat in the ninth section.

The plate was released as part of the Aldi Baby & Toddler event, which started on April 25th. Once the items sell out they’re usually gone, but the plates are still available in some stores and can also be found on Amazon.

Other mums in the group have praised the plate for how well it works for children with autism, with one saying: "been using one for few months now my son has autism and can't have food touching so this is great game and has helped him eat and try different things."

Another wrote: "My 2-year-old fussy eater ate all of this tonight, I love this plate."

Describing the plate, Aldi said: "Children will love eating all their food to complete the trail. They will be having so much fun they won't even realise they are eating their greens! It's also dishwasher safe, making it super convenient for you, too".

The plate is available in two different versions, including a "forest" themed game.

They're selling fast, with Aldi having sold over 100 within a day. If you have a really fussy child, then this winning plate might make meal times a lot more fun and a lot less stressful.
