It's been the longest heatwave for five years and if you have little ones, that naturally means plenty of smooshing suncream on cheeks, paddling pool-splashing and maybe an afternoon tea, that even the fussiest of toddlers will adore.
Introducing a mum's genius hack, that will keep your paddling pool clean in between uses. Because no one likes swimming with creepy crawlies!
Mum-of-eight Deborah Hitchens, of the Family Days Tried & Tested Facebook group, shared a hack suggested by fellow mother Sarah Jane Bennett earlier this week.
We're not being dramatic, but it will probably revolutionise your whole summer.
The clever mum suggests using an old fitted sheet to cover the pool when it's not in use - and users on Facebook are (very understandably) loving it!
The post has had more than 10,000 shares, 2,200 comments and a further 2,000 likes.
One mum shared her own tip on keeping the pool clean and commented, 'Washing up bowl with soapy water to rinse feet before entering!"
Of course, it depends on the shape of your paddling pool - those with a circular-shaped pool may struggle to find a fitted sheet that quite fits.
A user hilariously commented, 'Me & my daughter tried to do this last week.. it did not end well! Sheet ended up in the middle of the pool!
