Actress Emily Blunt opens up about breastfeeding, baby names and burping in a new interview
Some couples go very current with baby names; others go downright weird (Zzyzx – we’re talking about you). But traditional options are definitely still a great option – at least as far as Emily Blunt is concerned.
The actress, 31, who gave birth to a little girl with husband John Krasinski three months ago, speaks about how they came up with their daughter Hazel’s name in a new interview.
‘I find it really stressful naming a human being,’ The Adjustment Bureau star says on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
‘So we went through a few different ones and then John found it and we both really like old lady names.’
She also praised John’s dad skills – especially his ability to, erm, get the best burps out of Hazel.
‘So we went through a few different ones and then John found it and we both really like old lady names’
‘He’s the greatest dad. She loves him. He’s like the Burp King… he can get a beer burp out of this kid. It even surprises her you can tell… it’s an underrated skill,’ she laughs.
And she joined the celeb-likes of Halle Berry by crediting breastfeeding for helping her lose the baby weight, but she admits she was unprepared for how much milk she’d produce.
‘My boobs also thought I’d had 12 children… I could’ve been the wet nurse in medieval times,’ she laughs.
