Some parents-to-be find their baby name inspiration from their favourite book, a place they've visited together, or, from a theme, like astrology names.

Whether you're looking for a potential name with a zodiac reference or you wanted an unusual baby name that sounded a bit more unique, this list of astrology-themed baby names may make your decision a little bit clearer.

With many baby names inspired by Greek mythology, and even a few you may recognise from your favourite book and film characters, names related to the stars and planets are mystical and can either be very traditional or modern sounding.

1) Alya

Alya comes from Russia, Turkey, and Arabic-speaking countries, where it relates to “heavens,” “exalted,” and “highborn.”

2) Andromeda

Andromeda stems from Greek and translates to “advising like a man.”

In Greek legends, Andromeda was the daughter of Cassiopeia, who Athena made into a constellation. The star cluster is called The Bohemian Andromeda.
