Prince William And Kate Middleton Reveal Who They’ve Chosen As Prince George’s Nanny

Section: Childcare

Potentially the nanny job of a lifetime has just been filled by one lucky lady. And the nanny is…

It’s been revealed that Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo will be Prince George’s new nanny. The Spanish-born nanny will replace the royal baby’s current carer – and previously Prince Wills and Harry’s nanny – 71-year-old Jessie Webb, who is believed to be returning to her retirement.
Maria’s job will start with an enviable trip – she’ll accompany George, Kate and Wills on their royal tour around Australia and New Zealand next month.

The news follows rumours that Carole Middleton would look after George on his first royal engagement. We wonder if Carole minds missing out on what seems like the trip of a lifetime…
But George’s new nanny, who started work at Kensington Palace last month, certainly has the credentials to score her such a covetable position. The 30-something trained at the Norland College in London – a prestigious early years, childcare and nanny training establishment.
‘Maria is a full-time nanny, who started work with us recently,’ said a Kensington Palace spokesperson. ‘We will not be giving further details, except to say that the Duke and Duchess are delighted she has chosen to join them.’
