Remember when hot cross bun ice cream came out and we thought it was the most exciting hot cross bun news we’d ever heard?
We were wrong.
Hot cross bun GIN is a thing and we can’t think of a better way of celebrating the second best public holiday of the year.
This London dry gin sounds lip-smackingly delightful, with a hint of citrus, sultana and Easter spices, including nutmeg and cinnamon.
It’s made by Gin Tales, who suggest mixing it with ice and a splash of tonic plus a slice of fruit, which basically makes it a health drink (it doesn’t).
A bottle will set you back £35 and its available to buy online at Not On The High Street.
We’ll take one, please. But if you think we want it instead of an egg, you are wrong. We’d really like both, thank you very much.

John Lewis is selling a boozy pink Easter egg and it looks amazing. The milk chocolate egg comes with a rhubarb and ginger liqueur or an elderflower flavoured gin if that is more your thing.
Asda have launched a CHEESE Easter egg and it is almost everything we’ve ever wanted. The cheester egg is half cheese and half condiment and comes with sticky caramelised onion chutney plus mini oatcake crackers.
And Waitrose have come up with an avocado shaped Easter egg which is kind of what we thought the shape of an egg was anyway, but who are we to argue?
