1 small egg
1 tbsp whole milk
1 tsp vegetable oil spread
Eggs are a fantastic first food for your baby as they're full of essential nutrients that are vital for your baby’s growth and development. One of our favourite ways to introduce eggs to your little one is scrambled eggs because your baby is getting the benefits of both the yolk and the white of the egg which contain different sets of nutrients. Suitable from six months, scrambled eggs take no time to whip up and can be enjoyed by the whole family.
1. Crack the egg into a small bowl and whisk. Then add the whole milk and mix together.
2. Heat the vegetable oil spread in a non-stick saucepan.
3. Once the spread has melted, add the egg and cook over a low heat, stirring continuously until the egg begins to cook and 'scrambles'.
4. When the egg is cooked but not rubbery, remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool slightly before serving to your baby.
