Since Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas' annouced they were expecting their first child together, there's a lot of excitement ahead for the couple,

However, Lucy insists on keeping it real by sharing her genius pregnancy hacks on the gram.

The former TOWIE star thanked her sister-in-law, Caroline Thomas for the pregnancy jeans hack, and shared a picture of how it's done on her Instagram story.

Lucy wrote: "Thanks @carolinethomas23 for this trick! I’m taking a spare hairband it’s quite tight.”

Caroline who is married to Ryan's brother, Adam, is the one we all need to thank, as she showed the trick to Lucy first.

The trick is easily done by threading the hairband through the hole where your jean button is, while unzipped.

Then, thread one end of the hairband through the other end, and now you can use the hairband as the new hole.

Lucy announced her pregnancy with fiancé Ryan Thomas on her 28th birthday last week in an Instagram post.

She wrote: "Best birthday present I’ve ever had 👶🤰 love you @ryanthomas84 ❤️🥰"
