Victoria Beckham Admits Her Children Never Knew She Had A ‘Proper Job’ (Until They Watched Her Fashion Show)

While we all know what a success Victoria Beckham is in the world of fashion, it appears her children didn’t really get a grasp on what she actually does – until recently

It can be hard for children to understand what jobs their parents do unless they see them in action, Which is why, after watching dozens of football matches, it’s understandable that the Beckham brood are clear on what their dad does – but not so sure on their mum’s line of work.

‘It wasn’t until they came to the show a few seasons ago that I think they realised that mummy actually had a proper job,’ Victoria revealed to the Evening Standard. ‘They see David on the football pitch whereas I go off to work and they don't really see what I do.’

Mum to Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper, Victoria has only had her whole family present at one of her shows – in New York, last year. But Brooklyn and David are more regular fixtures at Victoria’s shows.

After years abroad, the family are now living back in the UK, where the former Spice Girl has just opened her first store. ‘I’m proud to be British,’ she says. ‘I was brought up here, my family is here, my friends are here, my kids go to fantastic schools here.’

Victoria’s children seem to be following in her fashionable footsteps, with Romeo currently modelling in his second campaign for Burberry and Brooklyn gracing a few magazine covers, too. However with her top knots and designer dresses, we reckon little Harper is the chicest of the Beckham offspring…
