Clare Hopkins, co-founder of Balance Me

Clare co-founded natural British beauty brand Balance Me in 2005 with her sister Rebecca, challenging what natural beauty stands for by creating a range that wouldn’t have been possible a few years ago – sophisticated textures, exquisite active aromas and award-winning results at affordable prices. The brand has enjoyed significant growth in the last two years thanks to the launch of Balance Me skincare.  Clare lives in north London with her partner and two children.

Rebecca Hopkins, co-founder of Balance Me

Rebecca founded award-winning natural British beauty brand Balance Me in 2005 with sister Clare. Rebecca previously headed up the communications team of luxury brands including Giorgio Armani beauty and Lancôme at L’Oréal UK, before retraining as a reflexologist. Rebecca lives in London with her husband and two daughters.

Tamara Heber-Percy, co-founder of Mr & Mrs Smith

Tamara is Chief Technology Officer of luxury travel websites Mr & Mrs Smith and Smith&Family, which she co-founded with her husband. Combining travel expertise with technological knowledge, Tamara has been the architect behind the development of Mr & Mrs Smith’s e-commerce websites and has two children.

Fiona Walker ,author

Fiona is the author of 13 bestselling novels – most recently The Summer Wedding (£7.99, Sphere). Dubbed ‘The Jilly Cooper of the Cosmo Generation’, she trained in theatre arts and worked briefly in advertising before becoming a bestselling novelist in her 20s, injecting her wicked sense of humour into the intrepid heroines of her books. She lives with her partner and two young daughters in rural Worcestershire.

Karen is the co-founder of Everywoman, the UK’s largest network for women in business, which was founded in 1999 to address the lack of resources available for working women. Karen is constantly striving for greater representation of women in the workplace, and has a teenage son.

Jessica is on a mission to iron out the issues that stop women taking up positions theyʼre capable of. Sheʼs the founder of employment coaching company The Talent Keeper Specialists and author of Mothers Work! How to Get a Grip on Guilt and Make a Smooth Return to Work (Hay House, 2011). Jessica is a member of the British Psychological Society and is referred to in the media as ʻthe thinking womanʼs coach.ʼ

Wendy Hallett MBE, owner of Hallett Retail Services Ltd

Wendy spent 13 years working in management roles at Philip Green's retail giant Arcadia, which includes M&B faves Topshop and Dorothy Perkins. In 2011, she was named the overall winner of the NatWest everywoman Awards, and is also a founder of the everywoman Modern Muse initiative, which aims to engage the next generation of female business leaders and entrepreneurs by showcasing successful women in all walks of business life. She has a daughter, 18, and a son, 15.

Donna Air, TV presenter

Donna successfully divides her career between acting and presenting, as well as fashion styling. She’s also collaborated with designer Markus Lupfer to create a children’s wear collection for Debenhams. Aside from film and television, Donna is passionate about all things green and works closely with the Soil Association. She's continuously exploring areas of health, beauty and fashion and has a nine-year-old daughter.

Claire successfully juggles being a mum-of-two to Amelie Rose and Charley, with heading up the UK's no. 1 pregnancy, baby and toddler magazine. She's passionate about providing expert advice and guidance to help you bring up your baby in the way you want to. She recognises that while your priorities change as a mum, your personal preferences, likes, dislikes and ambitions don't. She believes that with more mums juggling working life with a baby, they need as much support as possible, which is why she's so pleased to be heading up our Working Mums Panel.

Amanda Scacchetti, Product Design and Development Director at Mamas & Papas

Amanda’s birth inspired a company that has become an international success. Mamas & Papas was founded by her mother, Luisa, as she sought inspiration from her homeland, bringing Italian style to 1980s baby wear. □Amanda now has a central role in the business as Product Design and Development Director. Her key objective is to create innovative products for parents that will be loved by parents and babies. And she knows only too well what the average mum is looking for, as she's a mother herself, to 5-year-old daughter Milla and 2-year-old son Arlo.

Olivia Robinson, Creative, Brand & Marketing Director at Mamas & Papas

Olivia is the youngest daughter of David and Luisa, the founders of Mamas & Papas. Living and breathing the brand while juggling a busy family life, Olivia has 2 young children but still manages to deliver on brand, creative collateral while managing a team of over 30 people.

Olivia worked her way up through the Mamas & Papas business, beginning in store to gain a clear understanding of customer needs, she then worked in product design and development enabling her to get to know the products inside and out. Olivia’s natural, creative flair makes her perfect for the role of Creative, Brand & Marketing Director and along the way Olivia has developed a keen eye for design details, this runs through everything that the creative and marketing teams deliver at head office and makes the brand what it is today.

Charlotte Pearl, Founder of Pink Lining

Charlotte set out to design a bag as a result of a challenge set by then boyfriend now husband Rufus Pearl and has created an ever growing company that’s philosophy is very much aligned to detail. What started out as her creating seven bags by attempting to work her way around her mother’s sewing machine, within six months had turn into a successful company. From there, inspired by Charlotte’s own growing family, Pink Lining took the leap into the mother and child market with their changing bags for Mothers. Charlotte lives with her husband Rufus and their three children.

Miki Haines-Sanger

Miki Haines-Sanger founded Golden Goose PR in 2003, which went on to win a Gold Lion for Media Relations at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity. Miki is a firm believer in working as much around her kitchen table as her Covent Garden office and drawing inspiration from her family and home life to shape major brand campaigns. Miki lives in London and has a daughter, Mia, and son, Otis.
