Careers coach Tamsin Crook will answer your questions on getting back into the workplace in this week’s Working Mums Club
Ok, we’re pretty sure that if you’re a mum on maternity leave, you waver between dreading leaving your baby to return to work, and looking forward to the day that you can have a proper adult conversation that doesn’t revolve around poo and sleep. Or maybe you’re looking for a new job after having a career break and don’t know where to start?
That’s why as part of our Working Mums Club, we’ve set up fortnightly Facebook chats, where we get an expert to offer advice, share their own experiences and support you with the joint pressures of bringing up a family and moving up the career ladder.
On Thursday at 1pm, we’ll have careers coach Tamsin Crook available to answer questions.
Tamsin founded Making Careers Work, a career counselling service working primarily with mums looking to return to work after maternity leave or an extended career break, or to help those looking to regain some balance within their professional and personal lives.
She is a huge advocate of the idea of 'returnships' as a way of allowing people to return to the workplace after a period of being at home. And on top of all that, she’s also a mum to three small energetic boys. Phew!
She’ll be on hand to answer any questions you have, from preparing your maternity leave handover and handling complex issues such as redundancy during pregnancy, to explaining what exactly is a ‘returnship’ and tips on how to boost confidence at work.
Have a question you’d like to ask? You can tweet, Facebook or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d rather be anonymous.
