Need a face mask? Here's where to buy them

In need of a face covering but don't know where to buy one? Worry not - we've rounded up all the best places you can order a face mask online.

With the latest advice from the UK Government being to wear a face covering when in shops, on public transport or when in close contact with others, it's important to make sure you have a face mask available when you're out in public.

Advice on states:

"You must wear a face covering at all times on public transport or when attending a hospital as a visitor or outpatient. Hospitals will be able to provide a face covering in emergencies. If you can, you should also wear a face covering in other enclosed public spaces where social distancing isn’t possible and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet. This is most relevant for short periods indoors in crowded areas. You should be prepared to remove your face covering if asked to do so by police officers and staff for the purposes of identification.

"Evidence suggests that wearing a face covering does not protect you. However, if you are infected but have not yet developed symptoms, it may provide some protection for others you come into close contact with."

So whether you're going to the supermarket, or a walk in a busy park, it's best to have a face covering to hand.

There are face coverings available for children, too, although not for those under the age of three - states: "Face coverings should not be used by children under the age of 3 or those who may find it difficult to manage them correctly." Which is good, because I've tried to get my toddler to try on a face mask, and it's just not happening.

If you don't know where to find one to buy, here's our list of face masks you can order online:

Amazon has just launched its Face Mask Store, which makes it easy to find the kind of face mask you want. You can easily filter by type of mask (cloth, disposable, PPE) and by how many you want in a pack. It's handy for finding out what's in stock, and what can be delivered really quickly.

Your little ones will love the new range of Disney face masks, which come in a range of designs, from old-favourite Mickey to Winnie The Pooh, princesses, and Toy Story. They're available in sizes S, M, L, and Xl, so you can get them for the kids and for yourself too.

Let's start with the practical ones. This set has six black face masks that have got you covered (pun intended). They're washable and reusable.

These brightly coloured masks are hand made using fun and vibrant sustainable swimwear collections fabrics, while the lining is made from a more breathable fabric.

Mask Club has just launched in the UK. They will be donating 10% of sales to NHS Charities Together and are launching with thousands of officially licensed designs. Choose from tie dye, animal print and camouflage as well as brands such as Warners Bros. You can buy the masks one-off for £13.99 each, or you can join a subscription and get a new mask every month, costing £9.99 per month.

Available in 15 different designs, these soft, washable face masks are comfortable to wear and reusable. The soft material loops around your ear, rather than having a string of elastic pinging around. The stretchy fabric means they're one size fits all, so you can choose the cheerful character designs for your older children.

Go designer with this set of three face coverings from Boots, featuring great British designers Julien Macdonald, RIXO, and Liam Hodges. 100% of profits from the sale of this item will be split between NHS Charities Together, BFC Foundation Fashion Fund and Wings of Hope Children’s Charity.

Each three-pack of face coverings features a mystery mix of Boden colours and prints. £5 from each pack goes to the charity Helpforce.

With a range of pretty designs and colours, these fabric face coverings are cute as well as functional. £1 from every purchase is donated to the NHS Charities campaign.

A three-pack of face masks in simple black with the Reebok logo. £2 from every pack of face covers sold goes to Save The Children’s Global Coronavirus Response Fund.

Choosing a fun animal design can make it easier for your little one to get used to wearing a face covering. There is a wide range of designs in two sizes - small (3-10 years) and large (10 years +). You can even buy matching sets of ears.

If you want to try making your own face covering, there are loads of tutorials on YouTube. Here's one we found, and have followed it successfully to make our own:
