Trying to find the perfect stroller can be tricky, especially when you're looking for one that won't take up much room in your house or car.
And with all the different designs there seems to be a hundred different ways to collapse a pushchair too, and it's often a challenge learning how to do it. We all know the struggle when you're trying to get your pushchair into the car while juggling a child, handbag, shopping, and everything else - and we've all given fellow parents a knowing nod when we see someone else having the same experience in the car park.
That's where umbrella strollers come in handy, as they're easy to collapse and pop back open, without having five different locking clips or twists to worry about.
An umbrella stroller is the perfect solution to any storage problem. Not only are they as easy to collapse as an umbrella, but they also save a lot of space in the car - and in the home.
Check out our pick of umbrella strollers, some of which have made it into our Mother & Baby awards for best lightweight buggy or strollers.
This stylish pushchair is light and compact, making it quick and easy to fold. It also features a carry handle for ease. It's suitable from birth up to toddlers, and adjusts as your little one grows.
Tested by Zoe Lester, 24, mum to Isla, six months. She says: "I love this! Beautiful and modern, it’s the perfect lightweight stroller. Easy to carry and push, it copes with a range of surfaces and steers well one-handed. The seat has lots of room for growth. The handle height isn’t adjustable, but I found it very comfortable. I like the deep basket too and managed to squeeze about three-days worth of groceries in there."
Tested by Lizi Brown, 39, mum to Beatrice, 12 months. She says: "The manoeuvrability is good with a super turning-circle and it manages kerbs well. But on bumpy ground, Beatrice looked like she was on the Power Plate at the gym! The harness is fiddly and the hood detaches too easily. The raincover is ill-fitting, cumbersome, and fills the shopping basket when it’s not being used. It’s fine for a supermarket dash, though."

Tested by mum Kelly Hodgetts for the M&B Awards 2017:
"The quality of this pushchair is excellent value for money. It is easy to fold down and put up. It is lightweight but the frame still feels very sturdy. My newborn in the lie flat position was very comfy. The handle bars are padded and feel nice to hold and wheels turn with ease.
"When you are a new mum you have the carry round the world with you. Having a pushchair that is lightweight yet stylish and durable makes the daily chore of going out much easier. It is a simple pushchair to put up and put down and the extra footmuff and rain cover mean you only need this one pushchair for all weathers."
Tested by mum Tamsin Rycroft for the M&B Awards 2017:
"I was impressed by how sturdy the Chicco Liteway was and how easy it was to manoeuvre. My three year old daughter had no difficulty pushing the stroller along a pavement and for a short while, across some gravel. The footmuff was warm with a lovely soft lining. It was easy to fold the stroller up and down. There is a basket underneath the seat."

Available in 3 different designs, this pram has an ergonomic backrest design that creates a natural cradling position for your baby, which helps protect their back and spine. It's easy to convert the stroller into a compact fold, making it easier to carry.
It was Shortlisted in the 2016 M&B Awards Best Lightweight Buggy or Stroller category.
Tested by mum Alex Pearce for the M&B Awards 2016: "The Silver Cross Reflex isn't just a standard stroller, the brand has gone the extra mile to give you a high quality, stylish product. There a huge number of colours to choose from (we had yellow and love it). The chassis feels strong and sturdy compared to cheaper strollers I've used. It folds pretty well, although I'm not a fan of the umbrella fold in general.
"I found this pram really easy to push, it was light, but not flimsy. My son enjoyed sitting in this pram as he was very upright, giving him room to look around. As a toddler he gets annoyed if he is laid back too much, unless he's sleeping."

Tested by Sophie Knight, mum to Eli: "I totally love the bright colours and designs from Cosatto and they can really cheer up your walks - plus my little boy really enjoys going in his bright stroller. I like that it's really different from so many other strollers you see out and about. It's pretty simple to fold up and doesn't take up much room in the boot of my car. I've also used it on the bus and it made the experience a lot less stressful than with my old stroller."
