Keep nappy changing neat and tidy with these nappy organisers

Mum changing baby's nappy

Changing your baby's nappy is a job you could probably do (and regularly do!) in your sleep. And while you might have all the components to get the job done, where does it all live?

A nappy organiser is essentially a caddy that helps you keep all those little bits and bobs for nappy changes in one place, so there's no rooting about looking for wipes or Sudocrem. It also makes it a lot easier to see which bits you're running out of so you can stock up on your next shop.

What do you put in a nappy organiser?

Our favourite organising queen Mrs. Hinch recently shared what she stores in her baby caddy, that she picked up from eBay, as she prepared to welcome her second child. She took to Instagram to reveal how she had packed her own felt nappy caddy with baby essentials. It's up to you whether you need to be as thorough, but as long as you have the main bits you need to make your life easier when welcoming baby home.

  • Nappies (obviously!)
  • Wipes
  • Nappy cream
  • Nappy sacks
  • Changing mat
  • Antibacterial hand sanitiser
  • A rattle for distraction purposes
  • Mittens
  • Hairbrush
  • Nail kit

Review: "I keep all of my items for nappy changes in this and use it for carrying everything I need downstairs in the morning as upstairs in the evening so I don’t have to take the baby upstairs every time he needs a change. Very useful for the first couple weeks when your very sore and don’t want to be walking upstairs every hour. I use cloth nappies and can fit about 10 AIO nappies in the big compartment. 6 wraps and 12 inserts (tots bots peenuts) and wipes and liners in the other. The pockets around the outside are really useful for putting tubes of cream etc. In and I also use them for putting items such as my phone and other small items when taking everything downstairs."

Most stylish nappy caddy

The nappy organiser used by Mrs. Hinch herself, this large baby nursery storage tote is built with high quality felt fabric and a soft touch edge. It features a durable and water-resistant brown PU leather handle that is comfortable to hold whether you're at home or on the move. If you're not a fan of Mrs. Hinch's trademark grey, there are four other colours to choose from.

Specifications

  • Brown and grey colour way
  • Three inner compartments, removable inserts
  • Eight outer pockets
  • Material: PU leather handle and felt
  • Dimensions: 33 x 22 x 18cm

Review: "Bought two of these to fill with useful baby bits as gifts for a joint baby shower, having already received one as a gift for my baby. I find the caddy so useful for nappy bits, means you can have a grab and go nappy kit to move around the house without dipping into the change bag and leaving the 'outside of the house' bag lacking vital bits. The caddies made beautiful hampers, we filled them with nappies, wipes, nipple cream, nappy cream, cuddly toy and some snacks for the mums to nosh on while feeding baby. We wrapped them in cellophane with a gorgeous ribbon, made a beautiful AND very useful gift. The caddies are sturdy and lightweight, they look great too and the grey will go with most colour schemes."

Best hanging nappy caddy

Although we wouldn't recommend hooking this organiser on your baby's cot, it's ideal to hang from the door or even in the back of your car if you're often out on the road. The height can be easily adjusted and there are plenty of compartments for storing all your baby's essentials.

Specifications

  • Adjustable Velcro straps
  • Can hang a load of 15kg
  • Easy to clean
  • Multiple pockets
  • Deep storage
  • Material: Padded plastic
  • Dimensions: 34.9 x 23.8 x 7.8cm

Review: "Excellent value for money and one of the most useful purchases. The main compartment fits two stacks of nappies side by side approximately 40 nappies which are at easy reach. We keep wipes and nappy bags in the top compartment and the side compartment for bepanthen. Very sturdy thick product that although isn’t an essential item is definitely worth it to make changing easier."

Most sturdy nappy caddy

A top rated seller on Amazon, this adorable baby nappy caddy comes in three different animal designs featuring a felt bear, pink elephant, or an owl. It comes with one handle in the centre to make it quick and easy to pick up and carry from room to room and is robust and surprisingly alot bigger than expected to carry all your baby's essentials.

Specifications

  • Lightweight
  • Sturdy and robust
  • Easy to clean
  • Material: Polyester
  • Dimensions: 27.94 x 25.4 x 26.67 cm

Review: "It looks lovely on my little girls changing unit and holds a lot more than i expected! Can for a whole pack of nappies in the front section then wipes nappy sacks and other stuff in the back."

Best portable nappy caddy

While many nappy caddies tend to go for an open design, this ELFGUS design adds on zip fastenings which make it perfect for travelling. The portable design means you won't have to worry about it getting knocked over and all baby's essentials being scattered everywhere.

Specifications

  • Zip fasten
  • Removable inner divider, three inner compartments
  • Two extending zippered outer pockets
  • Easy to disassemble, fold, and store
  • Material: Felt
  • Dimensions: 33 x 23 x 19cm

Review: "I actually searched a lot of baby diaper caddys before deciding between this and one other brand. Have to say this is by far the best one I have seen. It has zipped cover which is great, it has 3 compartments just like others but the inside compartment itself has nice design and the material used makes it soft to touch.

"I was scared of the negative reviews saying it is too small but it is perfect size I think. Perfect for a day out if you wanna put clothes, nappies and things like toys or baby items or weekend stay. Obviously every baby caddy will need top up so don't complain about not having larger space. Most larger caddies don't even come with cover/lid on top so chances are they will get dusty. Enough space and secured by zipper on the top and sideways."

  • Customisable name
  • Contains 3 main compartments (removeable inserts) and 6 small pockets
  • Material: Felt
