Notes From The Mother&Baby Beauty Desk

Ole Henriksen Protect The Truth SPF 50+ Sunscreen (£31, lookfantastic.com)
I’m a stickler for wearing sunscreen and this is light but comfortable on skin, sits really well under make-up and it’s loaded with antioxidants, so I know it’s properly protecting my skin. It’s the perfect size tube for handbags too.

Caudalie Divine Legs Tinted Body Lotion (£26, uk.caudalie.com)
This blends so quickly and easily (you have more than 0.2 seconds before it dries and sets, unlike some formulas), the colour is perfect and it washes off your palms easily.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in Golden Brown (£6.90, kikocosmetics.co.uk)
I love brightening, cream shadow sticks and this one is a current favourite. It slicks on fast, gives tired eyes a boost and doesn’t budge.

Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum 30th Anniversary Edition (£46, houseoffraser.co.uk)
Once the weather starts to perk up, I can’t get enough of fragrances that smell of bottled holidays. This limited edition scent blends coconut, jasmine, tiare flower, ylang-ylang and vanilla – you must grab a bottle while you can.

Benefit They’re Real Push-Up Liner (£18.50, benefitcosmetics.com)
Somewhere between a gel liner and a kohl, one click dispenses the right amount of product onto the plastic nib, which is angled to get into the roots and master the perfect line. It took me a few practices, but now I’m hooked.

Lancome Smoothing Protective Milk Mist SPF 30 (£24, lancome.co.uk)
I’ve just taken (and emptied) a bottle of this on our family holiday and I can honestly say I looked forward to applying it every day. It smells amazing, doesn’t feel greasy, whilst being hydrating and is really easy to apply.

By Terry Tint To Lip Water Color Lipstain in Pink Palace (£22, uk.spacenk.com)
Is it just me, or does the colour drain from your lips when you’re tired? This is the perfect antidote. Like a tinted, rose-scented water for rosebud lips. Either shake the tube to mix in the tiny shimmer particles, or let them settle for a very natural finish. Feels like nothing on skin and stays put, too.

Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream (£8.99, boots.com)
While I love anti-bac gels, they’re not very caring on skin, are they? This handy tube solves the issue. Germ-fighting (kills 99.9% of germs including E.Coli), but also super-nourishing with lanolin and aloe vera.
