They say: This worry-free, long-wearing makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity and nonstop activity. 

We say: It's a cult-favourite for a reason. It won't budge all day and it's matte-finish means it's perfect for those with oily and combination skin. We just wish the bottle had a pump...

If you're worried about going full-thwack glamour for the nursery run, mix a few drops with your favourite moisteriser.

They say: Lasting complexion perfection full coverage. Featuring long wear, smoothing sphere technology reduces the appearance of fine lines soft-focus, full coverage with vitamin E hypoallergenic.

We say: It leaves skin with a nice dewy finish and will last until afternoon snack time at least. The rigid bottle makes it really difficult to squeeze out product.

Pro Filt’r Foundation, £26, Fenty Beauty

They say: A soft matte, long-wear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage.

We say: Yep, it's definitely full coverage and ideal for anyone wanting to achieve the 'filter' effect. Unlike a lot of heavy foundations this won't doesn't leave your skin looking cakey and looks surprisingly natural. It's also available in a mighty 40 shades, which has made Rihanna's beauty collection a favourite within the industry.

Healthy Mix Foundation, £9.99, Bourjois 

They say: Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation contains vitamins C, E and B5 that give skin an instant anit-fatigue effect. The hydrating formula keeps your complexion radiant and even for up to 16 hours.

We say: We are impressed with the staying-power and the dewy-finish from this foundation and at a tenner, it's a bargain! The formula smells like apricots and blended very easily into the skin.
