Some mums-to-be naturally glow during the whole nine months, while others are dealt spots, dry skin or oily patches instead.
The infamous pregnancy ‘glow’ (caused by increased blood flow) may have eluded you, or it may have waned since your sleepless newborn arrived, but there are still easy ways to fake it. Here are the products you need to get your glow on
Sometimes switching your cleanser can transform your skin and get your glow back. Try this skin-loving balm, which can be massaged into dry skin to melt away make-up and dirt, before removing with a warm, damp muslin cloth to cleanse, detox and exfoliate. Or for particularly dry or dehydrated skin, apply to cleansed skin at bedtime for an overnight super-boost, or dab onto trouble areas.
Plump, cushiony skin is the first step to faking 'the glow'. If your skin is more dehydrated, irritated and desperate for TLC, apply a couple of drops of this oil before your moisturiser or alone if your skin is oily to combination. Loaded with nourishing omegas, vitamins and nutrients, this 98% organic oil hydrates, reduces inflammation and plumps up skin instantly.
By Terry Tea to Tan Water Colour Bronzer Instant Double Glow, £36, harrods.com
Taking your skin tone up a notch gives your whole face a healthy lift, blurs dark circles and makes you look rested. This light-as-water, liquid bronzer contains black and red tea and illuminating ‘micro-prisms’ to give a fresh wash of colour to skin. It feels cooling on contact and blends fast, giving skin a bronzed pick-me-up. Either leave the illuminating particles to settle at the bottom of the bottle for a very natural finish, or shake up the formula for a luminous effect.
Clayspray Brightening White Clay with Ginseng Masque, £15, feelunique.com
For an intense skin overhaul in under 10 minutes, try this hard-working clay mask. Not only is it 95% natural, paraben-free and super-easy to use (just pump the nozzle to dispense the correct amount), but once removed, it leaves skin bright, soft and plumped. The white clay base lifts away impurities and ginseng gives dull skin a brightening boost.
Clarisonic Aria Advanced Sonic Facial Cleansing, £155, clarisonic.co.uk
Nothing gives your skin a spring clean every single day like this cleansing brush. Like an electric toothbrush for your face, it lifts off six times more make-up and twice as much dirt and oil than cleansing with your hands alone, deep cleanses pores and allows your skincare to absorb more effectively. Just one minute every morning with this gadget will give you a facial-fresh glow, but the Aria also has adjustable settings for delicate skins or a more powerful cleanse.

Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush, £27, yslbeauty.co.uk
This lip and cheek ‘air-whipped’ formula cleverly gives a luminous, yet matte finish to skin, so it never sits on top of the skin. So light, you can hardly feel it on, it gives a velvety, soft, pretty flush of colour in one swipe of the wand.
