American actress Jennifer Love Hewitt launches her maternity clothing line ‘L by Jennifer Love Hewitt’, with a starry launch party in California.

Dressing when you’re pregnant can be a nightmare. From too-tight fabrics to too-stretchy materials, it can sometimes seem like style isn’t at the forefront of many maternity designers’ minds. Enter Jennifer Love Hewitt, American actress and mother of one, who yesterday launched her own maternity line ‘L by Jennifer Love Hewitt’ in association with A Pea In The Pod, and accompanied with a starry and stylish lineup of celebrity friends.

'Make a line for women, by a woman, who actually wants them to feel great and feel beautiful'

Speaking about the line, Hewitt said: ‘We’re sort of in this odd time in our society right now where women are not being nice to each other. We’ve got a lot of reality stuff where people are being mean to each other and, fashion wise, people are talking bad about each other. I thought, “what a beautiful place to put my energy”. Make a line for women, by a woman, who actually wants them to feel great and feel beautiful and look fantastic and better than everyone walking around, especially at a time when you cannot feel very good about yourself.'

Amen to that. The launch was accompanied by a red carpet event and too many celebrity bumps to count, all wearing Hewitt’s pretty feminine designs. From florals to this seasons’ arty brushstroke trend, it’s all there and more. The collection is available now from A Pea In The Pod’s website.
