It’s probably the last place you’d expect to see anything to do with babies, but the trend for baby-tooth keepsakes made it onto hit TV program Girls
When your little one loses his first tooth, you probably popped it under his pillow and left it to the Tooth Fairy. However, you can create a more lasting memory by having the tooth cast in sterling silver and put on a necklace.
And thanks to a similar necklace being worn by Hannah from Girls on last night’s episode, an Etsy shop that creates the tooth necklaces has been swamped with enquiries.
Jackie Kaufman, who’s Etsy shop, Rock My World, specialises in creating custom made silver tooth necklaces and was commissioned by HBO, the studio that makes Girls, to create a necklace especially for them.
The tooth necklaces on her site cost between £40 and £50, depending on whether you get a front or molar tooth cast in silver.
While these necklaces make great personal keepsakes for mums, could everyone soon be wearing them now they’ve been featured on hipster show, Girls?
