Mum reveals the trick most fitness bloggers use to make their bum look more toned

Section: New mum fitness

You can't scroll through Instagram without seeing avocado toast, cute baby photos and fitness influencers showcasing their peachy bottoms.

It's never been cooler to have a big bum, which begs the question - can the Kardashian's make the 'post-baby tummy' a thing now, too?

No matter how many squat challenges we do at the gym, our behinds never look as toned as the fitness bloggers. However, that may be, because of their top-secret, booty-enhancing trick. We knew it.

Super fit mum Sia Cooper (the brains behind @diaryofafitmommyofficial) often calls out problematic body image standards on her Instagram and regularly uploads side by side pictures to show the difference good angles can make.

Now she's revealed the secret to making your bum look more toned and it's all down to your knickers...

She wrote “PSA: UNDERWEAR PLACEMENT MATTERS,” she captioned a trademark side-by-side comparison pic. “If you hike your undies up really high, it’ll give an illusion of a tinker waist and bigger bum. Just another popular trick amongst Instagram fitness models! So don’t be fooled.”

In another photo collage she shows how instagram influencers are bending forwards and arching their back to give the illusion of a bigger derriere and smaller waist.

It’s amazing what a little bending forward, hiking up your underwear, arching your back, and sticking your booty out can do.. even whilst sitting down. Check out that waist, even! Butts typically don’t look great as you sit down (comfortably and normally). They flatten out and your cellulite tends to show because the skin is being pressed upon. However you see these chicks in bikinis who are sitting and it’s like magic or sorcery that their butts don’t flatten! They still look curvy and I’m like WTF.. I would get so upset because I knew I could not look like that all the time. But the truth is, nobody does. A picture is just a split second. We all look different from different angles. But all these angles are still our bodies. We are equally worthy in all our photos. @selfmagazine @shape @womenshealthmag @oxygenmagazine @people @fitnessmagazine @healthmagazine @muscleandfitnesshers @usweekly @theellenshow @cosmopolitan @elitedaily @scarymommy @redbook @glamourmag

Even thoses with time (and energy!) to do hip thrusts and their own photographers still don't look like their face-tuned, angle-manipulated photgraphs.

But if we are being honest - small bums, big bums, wobbly bums, flat bums, pert bums - all bums are really great aren't they.
