Family is more important to mums than gifts, according to a new survey

Boxes of chocolate? Flowers? Perfume? No, what mums really want for Mother’s Day is a day out with the family.

A new survey conducted by maternity and children’s wear brand Vertbaudet showed that 42% of the mums surveyed said the best present they could receive would be a family day out. Only 25% of the mums asked said they would appreciate an actual gift.

One in five of the mums asked said they would love to receive a handmade present from their children this Mother’s Day.

And 11% of mums said an adventurous activity day out would be the ideal present.
