It’s official – according to science, blondes are MORE intelligent!

Holly Willoughby

We’ve all heard the ‘dumb blonde’ stereotype, but it turns us blondes out there have actually been misunderstood all along, as research proves on average, women with blonde hair actually have a higher IQ!

So, the next time someone tells you you’re having a ‘blonde moment’, you can tell them new research from National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1979, who surveyed people aged between 14 and 21. All of the females involved were asked what their natural hair colour was and out of all of the 10,878 females, the women with naturally blonde hair had an average IQ of 103.2, whereas brunettes had an average of 102.7 and red heads and those with black hair had an average of 100.5.

Although the researchers can’t confirm the correlation between hair colour and intelligence, it seems to prove not only do blondes have more fun, they’re more intelligent too!
