This Week’s News Round Up From M&B

In case you’ve been completely immersed in nappies and nursery runs this week, we’ve rounded up the week’s top stories in bite size form for you to digest…

Of course the news that we were all talking about this week was just how cute Prince George is at three months old – and, more importantly, just what happened at the christening in general. We’ve also been talking about Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen outfit and the bump-flattering midnight blue coat worn by pregnant Zara Tindall.

Over in Hollywood, news broke that Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian, in a typically over-the-top way with her whole family present. In a stadium.  We’re hoping North will be a flower girl at their wedding.

In pregnancy and birth news, Gwen Stefani confirmed that she’s pregnant by comparing bumps with Rachel Zoe in an Instagram snap. And with the birth of Frankie Sandford’s son Parker Bridge a week ago, the rest of The Saturdays have been gushing on Twitter about how cute the baby is.

Plus, you’ve been telling us your thoughts on the comment that it was ‘quite sexist’ to say that pregnant equalities minister Jo Swinson couldn’t stand during a 30-minute House of Commons session.

A study has discovered what makes your baby laugh and smile and we focused on news that an increasing number of toddlers in London are raised to be trilingual. Time to brush off that GCSE French then…

And in healthcare news, your kids could be entitled to free vitamins and more health visitors if the Chief Medical Officer has any to do with it, after she released a new report outlining some of her desired changes to the health system.
