From popping folic acid pills, to getting your head around your ovulation cycle, there are a lot of things to think about when trying to conceive.
But what about the things you shouldn’t do? We reveal just a few…
Get obsessed over ovulation
Knowing your ovulation cycle
is important, but if you’re keeping too militant a regime (and dragging your exhausted partner off to the bedroom the moment her walks through the door), it’s probably best to remind yourself that it is meant to be fun
Tuck into takeaways
As much as you may be craving your Friday night takeaway, this is the time to be making sure you’re in great shape. Good health does help your fertility – so swap your favourite curry with plenty of folic acid-packed veggies, legumes and pulses to give your body the kick start it needs
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that is even more the case when you’re trying to conceive. And the bigger the better! Recent research
found that hose who ate more at breakfast than dinner were more likely to conceive than those who ate their main meal in the evening. Guilt-free pancakes it is, then.
