Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams has always had a banterous, flirtatious relationship with fellow judge Simon Cowell – and now he’s taken it one step further!
The comedian, 42, has written a children’s book specifically for the media mogul’s baby boy, entitled, ‘David Walliams Presents Baby Eric’.
David tweeted the novel’s cover, featuring an illustration by Tony Ross, depicting dad Simon, 54, in his signature V-neck t-shirt cradling son Eric (both wearing black sunnies) alongside girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 36.
He captioned the picture: 'This is the cover of the book I wrote especially for @SimonCowell & Lauren's son Eric’.
He presented Simon with 50 copies of the book, backstage at Britain’s Got Talent on Monday’s live show, much to Simon’s surprise.
A blurb on the back cover reportedly reads, ‘Simon Cowell was the man who thought he had everything, until the day Baby Eric arrived in his life.’
Don't expect to find the literary gem in your local bookstore, though, David reportedly self-funded the print run especially for Simon.
David himself has a one-year old son with model Lara Stone and has written a number of children’s books, including Demon Dentist, Ratburger, The Slightly Annoying Elephant and Mr Stink, which was adapted into a BBC One programme.
