The mum-of-one and Radio 1 DJ will be encouraging people to nominate deserving mums they know for the supermarket’s annual awards
Fearne Cotton is the ambassador for the 10th Tesco Mum of the Year Awards.
The celebrity mum, who’s a mum to one-year-old son Rex with new husband Jesse Wood, will be helping Tesco look for inspirational mums who help out in their local communities, raise money for charity, campaign for what they believe in and help those less fortunate than themselves.

‘It’s a real honour to be chosen to act as an Ambassador for such an amazing campaign,’ says Fearne. ‘There are so many inspirational mums out there who do such wonderful things for others and don't realise just how special they are! I am very excited to be part of the 10th year anniversary for the Awards and to help give these incredible mums the recognition and appreciation they deserve.’
The event, that’s now in it’s 10th year, has made awards to over 80 mums and been privy to thousand of stories of heroism, selflessness, courage and achievement.

‘Fearne felt like the perfect fit for our 10th anniversary year ambassador,’ says Debbie Chernin, Tesco Mum of the Year Manager. ‘Mainly because her involvement in a variety of charity projects, over the past few years, has been immense. She has done everything from presenting Children in Need to climbing Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief, trekking along the Inca Trail for Breast Cancer Care, and cycling the length of the UK for Sport Relief – Fearne supports a wealth of truly important causes.
