Heather Morris, who plays ditzy cheerleader Brittany, welcomed baby Elijah on Saturday and her brother-in-law has already tweeted a cute picture of him
Her character regularly comes out with dizzy comments in hit TV show, Glee (‘Did you know dolphins are just gay sharks?’), but in real life, Heather Morris has just become a mum for the first time.
Heather, 26, and her boyfriend, Taylor Hubbell, 27, are high school sweethearts and although her pregnancy was unexpected, sources say the couple are thrilled.
Taylor’s brother, Adam, tweeted a picture of his two-day-old nephew, saying, ‘The newest Mr. Hubbell #sayuncle’ and shared an image to Instagram.
Heather enjoyed a baby shower with fellow Glee actresses, Naya Rivera, Lea Michele and Amber Riley back in July, but the show was hit with tragedy just one week later with the news that actor Cory Monteith, who plays Finn, had died.
As for Heather’s future in Glee, it’s thought that her role as Brittany S. Pierce will become a guest part, and she’ll only appear occasionally in the show.
Right now, she’s got a much busier role ahead of her as she gets used to being a new mum.
How soon did you share a picture of your baby on social media?
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a happily sleeping baby. After hours (or what feels like it) trying to soothe them, when they finally drift off and silence reigns once again there’s something rewarding in peeking through the door, or checking your baby monitor and seeing your baby sound asleep.
