The superstar has opened up about single parenthood in a new magazine interview
As a singer, actress, businesswoman and parent, you imagine Jennifer Lopez, 44, does her fair share of multi-tasking.
But, opening up about single motherhood in a new interview, the A-lister gives more credit to her sister.
Jennifer, who has five-year-old twins Max and Emmy with ex-husband Marc Anthony, spoke of her admiration for her younger sibling Lynda Lopez. The award-winning journalist has a daughter Lucie Wren Lopez-Goldfried, also five.
She’s a single mom but not like I’m a single mom. I have a lot of help – she doesn’t
‘I just love and respect her so much,’ Jennifer, who is now dating choreographer Casper Smart, told Cosmopolitan magazine.
‘She’s a single mom but not like I’m a single mom. I have a lot of help – she doesn’t. I always ask, “Do you need anything?” And she’s like, “I’m good”. But I know she’s exhausted.’
This comes on the heels of Black Swan actress Natalie Portman admitting she had no idea about the hard work that goes into motherhood.
The mum of one told Elle magazine, ‘I love being a mum, but it’s much more intensive work than being an actress – going to work feels like you’ve got a day off.
‘Not that I want a day off from being a mum, it’s just perhaps I had this impression before that mums don’t work. But they work more than anyone.'
