Bump Off! Drew Barrymore And Ciara Compare Bumps At Celebrity Event

The actress and the singer, both of who are due any day now, stopped to chat and pose for photos at an event in LA

It was a case of ‘Is your bump bigger than mine?’ when Drew Barrymore bumped (excuse the pun!) into Ciara at a recent event.

Both stars were dressed comfortably in shirts and flat shoes (very sensible) and had a gorgeous pregnancy glow.

The event was for Safe Kids Day, which raises funds and awareness of preventable childhood injuries. The organisation’s website offers tips to avoid common crib, car seat and household dangers.

And this is clearly something that Drew, who’s expecting her second child with husband Will Kopelman, can relate to. The couple already have a 15-month-old daughter called Olive.

Speaking at the event, the Charlie’s Angels star said that although becoming a parent has been the greatest thing she’s done in her life, it’s brought with it a new level of anxiety.

‘I've never been so worried in my life about making sure that something I care about more than I've ever cared in my life is safe and intact,’ she said.

The actress and producer has ensured she’s shifted her priorities to revolve around her growing family.

‘It used to be work first and now it’s life first,' she said. ‘So even though I'm doing a lot, there's a lot of things that have slowed down.

‘I don't make that many movies anymore. I'm not really producing right now. And I'm trying to do jobs where I can work from home or be at home by dinnertime if I do have to go out to meetings. You just sort of change your life.’

Meanwhile, Ciara is also getting ready for her baby’s arrival. The R’n’B singer had a blue-themed baby shower last month (so no guesses on what she’s having), which included a two-tiered cake with blue icing and a matching blue pram. Fellow celebrity guests included Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
