In response to fans who criticised her choice to select her baby’s sex, Teigen tweeted ‘Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah.’

The star has also used her fame to discuss her experience postnatal depression – a condition that affects 10-15% of new mums. In an interview with Marie Claire in June last year, Teigen spoke about her decision to have more children, whether that was through pregnancy or adoption. ‘I would definitely adopt or have foster children, but I loved being pregnant. Maybe I should be scared , but I don’t know. It couldn’t be any worse than it was – could it?’
