Following her adorable pregnancy announcement late last year, Chrissy Teigen revealed the sex of her second baby on the Grammy’s red carpet last night.
The flawless actress confirmed the sex of her second child with husband John Legend on Instagram, posting a picture of her baby bump with the caption: ‘mama and her baby boy.’
Teigen has been very outspoken in the media about her experience with IVF, and tweeted last January that her remaining embryo from fertility treatments was a male one. In response to fans who criticised her choice to select her baby’s sex, Teigen tweeted ‘Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah.’
The star has also used her fame to discuss her experience postnatal depression – a condition that affects 10-15% of new mums. In an interview with Marie Claire in June last year, Teigen spoke about her decision to have more children, whether that was through pregnancy or adoption. ‘I would definitely adopt or have foster children, but I loved being pregnant. Maybe I should be scared , but I don’t know. It couldn’t be any worse than it was – could it?’
The famous couple are expecting their second baby later this year.
