Pippa Middleton has confirmed her pregnancy in her column for Waitrose Weekend magazine.
In the piece, titled 'Exercising While Pregnant', she wrote: 'I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness. That meant I was able to carry as normal and continue my sports. I've noticed my body change but through exercise I feel it's being strengthened. Who knows what the next few weeks have in store.'
Middleton's elder sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, suffered from severe morning sickness during all three of her pregnancies.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister and her financier husband James Matthews are ‘overjoyed’ at the happy news, which comes just under a year after the couple tied the knot at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, close to the Middleton family home.
The couple confirmed that they are expecting to friends and family after Pippa had a 12 week scan last week, according to the Sun’s report, and the Duchess, who will soon give birth to her third child, ‘could not have been more delighted’ upon learning of her sister’s pregnancy, a source revealed. Indeed, Kate was reportedly the first person with whom Pippa and James shared their news.
According to a source quoted in a further report in the Sunday Express, ‘when Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed.’
Pippa and James first met back in 2012 and briefly dated before calling it quits after a few months. Then, after Pippa split from long-term boyfriend Nico Jackson in late 2015, she was once again linked to James after they both took part in a charity race in memory of his older brother, who died in 1999. The couple then spent the New Year together on the island of St Barts, where the Matthews family own the Eden Rock Hotel, before getting engaged in the summer of 2016 on a weekend away in the Lake District (with a 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring to boot).
The couple were married on May 20th at St Mark’s Church, in a ceremony attend by the Duchess of Cambridge (who served as an unofficial maid of honour) and her husband Prince William along with his younger brother Prince Harry, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who joined a group of page boys and bridesmaids.
