Stacey Solomon posts a 'normal body’ bikini photo and we love her for it

Stacey Solomon is fast becoming our new hero.

Hot on the heels of her body hair confession, she’s posted a photo from her holiday and it’s refreshingly relatable.

Some celebrities choose to post picture-perfect snaps of themselves on their jollies with not a hair out of place, make-up on fleek, and wearing intriguing but ultimately impractical swimwear.

Not so Stacey.

In the picture she’s shared on Instagram she’s rocking a mismatched, and possibly a little ill-fitting, bikini.

Her hair is what we’d charitably describe as tousled and it doesn’t look as though she’s wearing any make-up but it’s hard to tell because her face in is shadow.

It’s utterly brilliant.

The Loose Women presenter clearly knew what she was about, and captioned the snap, saying: “Normal bodies rule! Happy Monday... if you need some realistic motivation 😂👆 #Nofilter #PerfectlyImperfect #WeAreBeautuful#mondaymotivation.”

Earlier this week, Stacey talked about not shaving her legs

“I’m on holiday, and I’ve got hairy legs. VERY hairy legs,” she wrote in her column for Fabulous.

"I meant to shave when we first got to the hotel but my boys were like: 'Nooooo! We need to swim!'"

The singer went on to explain that she went through puberty at a very young age and first waxed her legs at just 11 years old.

After feeling terribly self-conscious about her leg fuzz as a teenager, it was giving birth to her first child when she was 17 that gave her the confidence to embrace her body in its natural state.

Stacey said: “After that I thought, ‘People have shoved their hand up me to get a human out. Why do I care that I’m hairy?’"

She continued with an empowering message, and said: “So to all the women who think waxing, shaving and grooming is the bane of their life and wish they didn’t have to do it – you really DON’T. You really, really don’t.”
