Author Annabel Karmel has been giving mums inspiration for mealtimes on her Instagram account.

If you struggle to get your little ones to show interest in food, Annabel has been creating special designs that might make dinnertime more successful.

One design turned grated carrot and yellow peppers into Big Bird from Sesame Street, while another of Annabel's ideas was to turn porridge and fruit into a playful owl design. For Pancake Day there was also 'hunny bunny pancakes', using sliced bananas to turn the humble pancake into little rabbits.

Annabel writes books on eating during pregnancy, advice for weaning, cooking for children, and family food. For more information visit annabelkarmel.com
