Huge Tesco recall including Galaxy bars, Malteser Teaser bars, Galaxy Counters and Quorn sausages

Supermarket giant Tesco have issued a large list of products they are recalling, including Galaxy chocolate bars, Malteser Teaser bars and Quorn mini cocktail sausages.

The products are being recalled for a number of different reasons, from the presence of Salmonella in the chocolate bars, to metal and glass being found in the food.

If you’ve done a shop in Tesco over the weekend and are worried you’ve purchased the affected products, take a look at the batch numbers below. If you have been affected, return the product to a Tesco store for a full refund. Tesco have stated you will not need a receipt.

Galaxy Milk 4 x 42g multipack bars, Batch codes: 719G1SLO00, 719G2SLO00, Best before end: 06/05/18

Recall notice: Mars Chocolate UK have recalled the following products due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

Maltesers Teasers 35g bar, Batch codes: 720C1SLO00, 720D2SLO00, Best before end: 13/05/18

Recall notice: Mars Chocolate UK have recalled two batches of their 35g Maltesers Teasers bars due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

Galaxy Counters 112g pouch, Batch codes: 720B1SLO00, 720C1SLO00, Best before end: 13/05/18

Recall notice: Mars Ireland have recalled the following batches of their Galaxy counters due to the risk of Salmonella.

Quorn Chilled Cocktail Sausages 180g, Use by date: 07/06/17

Recall notice: Quorn are recalling batches of their cocktail sausages with the affected sell by date, due to an error in the ingredients. Milk and Barley Gluten are not listed, meaning this product may be unsuitable for some customers.

Tesco Creamy Leek & Bacon Cooking Sauce, Batch code 7031

Recall notice: Egg is missing from the ingredients list of batch 7031, meaning the product is a risk for any intolerant customers.

Various Peter’s Premier Slices, Barcodes: 5011187104295, 5011187104103, 5011187104318, Use by date: 20th August

Recall notice: The batches of Chicken Tikka Slices, Cheesy Bean Slices and Steak Slices are being recalled due to possible glass contamination. Please do not consume any of these products.

Macsween of Edinburgh – Various Haggis and Black Pudding

The products affected in this recall have been found to have high water activity, which in turn raises concerns about the company’s procedures in place to control Clostridium botulinum.

The following products will all have a use by date of 18/08/17 and should be returned to store for a full refund:

  • Macsween of Edinburgh Haggis

  • Macsween of Edinburgh Vegetarian Haggis

  • Macsween of Edinburgh Black Pudding

  • Macsween of Edinburgh In a Hurry – Haggis, Black Pudding and Vegetarian Haggis

  • Macsween of Edinburgh Delicious Every Day Haggis Gluten Free 454g

  • Macsween of Edinburgh Haggis Canapes

  • Macsween of Edinburgh 3 Bird Haggis

Clif Builder’s Chocolate Mint Protein Bar, Best before end: 05/04/16-23/04/18

Recall notice: Clif have identified that a single batch of their protein bars contain undeclared peanuts and tree nuts. As a precaution, they are recalling the affected date code.
