A poll has revealed which days of the year mums would least like to give birth – and one of them is coming up very soon

While the day your baby arrives is always going to be special, it seems that some mums are definitely less keen on certain dates. In a new poll of 520 women, Christmas Day, 29 February and the 31 August have been voted as the three least favourable day for babies to arrive.

Christmas Day was unpopular because the stress of combining birthday celebrations with Christmas was too much for the polled mums to handle. While 29 February is disliked because it means that a child only really celebrates one birthday in four. And the end of August isn’t popular because it means children are the youngest in the school year.

New Years Eve and New Years Day were also shown to be disliked because it means the child would have to share their big day with other celebrations. For similar reasons Boxing Day, Christmas Eve, Remembrance Day and Halloween aren’t popular either.
