Many women will experience physical side effects from pregnancy, particularly the early days of sickness and nausea.

So, to support mums-to-be, My Expert Midwife have developed three discrete additions to their pregnancy toolkit: Soothing Ginger Melts, Sick Of It! Spritz and Sick Of It! Rollerball, to help you soothe any feelings of nausea, especially in those early days when you may be trying to keep your pregnancy under wraps.

Speaking about the new range, Midwife and Co-Founder of My Expert Midwife, Lesley Gilchrist, said: “At My Expert Midwife, we want to help women through the physical and emotional challenges they face throughout pregnancy and birth.

"Up to 80% of women experience some nausea during pregnancy, which can be unpredictable. Dealing with nausea is individual to each woman, which is why we’ve created an effective toolkit to help mums-to-be find what works best for them, for soothing relief in the first trimester and throughout pregnancy.

"Each unique product contains a combination of essential oils whose properties are known to help reduce feelings of sickness and nausea.”

The Sick Of It! range includes:

1. Soothing Ginger Melts

This pregnancy food supplement is developed to melt on the tongue, with ingredients such as ginger extract, which is known to be an effective natural remedy in relieving nausea, as well as essential vitamins B6, B12, and C.

These added vitamins help to increase iron absorption, while contributing to the regulation of hormones and helping to reduce tiredness and fatigue.

2. Sick Of It! Spritz

Sick Of It! Spritz is made with a gentle, fragrant blend of lemon, peppermint, and grapefruit essential oils, which are known to be effective natural remedies for relieving feelings of nausea and sickness.

The compact spray is perfectly designed for use on the go. Mums-to-be can spray when they feel the need and as often as required, onto skin, tissue, pulse points, bedding, or the air around them.

3. Sick Of It! Rollerball

Pocket-sized and ready to roll, the Sick Of It! Rollerball is a fragrant and soothing blend of coconut oil, ginger, lemon, and spearmint. The combination of ingredients has been carefully selected by My Expert Midwife’s team of midwives, as they are known to help relieve stomach discomfort and nausea.

Roll a small amount onto wrists, temples, and pulse points. Inhale when you are sick of it, for a soothing feeling.

4. Expert advice

As well as the trio of products outlined above, this Sick of it! Toolkit also comes with a FREE e-book - The First 20 Weeks of Pregnancy, written by Expert Midwife Karen McEwen, to help you navigate the early weeks and months of pregnancy.
