Powerful and pregnant
George at Asda is launching a powerful campaign featuring a community of inspirational expectant mothers, highlighting the beauty of pre and post-pregnancy and busting stigmas associated with it.
The campaign features strong, significant images including British fashion model Kelly Knox, Aisha Bearn, Beth Sandland and Charlotte Buttrick, celebrating ‘baring the bump’ and sharing their unique motherhood experience together to promote confidence and empowerment in the changing of women’s bodies.
In the campaign, Kelly Knox says “When I was pregnant with my son Jenson, I read an article about when you become a mother, you’ll have to learn to do everything with one hand. I’ve had one hand all my life, I didn’t find this scary at all - I thought to myself, I am one step ahead” and Aisha Bearn says “we are celebrating our strength.”
Following a recent survey on maternity stigmas and the road to motherhood, George concluded that new mums have high expectations of pregnancy and ‘getting the glow’ - however, it is not the same journey for everyone and there is no one-size fits all guidebook, and advising new mothers to ‘trust their instincts’.
