At a glance:
This thickly padded, extra comfortable, forward-facing car seat has an adjustable headrest and cushions for younger children, ensuring your child is safe and supported in the car. The car seat goes from 9 months to 12 years old (9-36kg) as it converts to a booster seat and has an adjustable height of headrest and shoulder straps for the growing needs of the child. It also features side impact protection and energy absorbing foam.
Would you recommend this to other mums?
Bridgett: I would recommend this product for an older child as it does appear to be good value for money. The seat is well padded and comfortable and the five-point harness is easy to use. The seat folds away quite neatly and is very compact if you’re hoping to store it or not use as a permanent feature in your car. For the price, it is quite robust and the side impact protection is sturdy and gave my child something to lean on.
Samantha: I personally would not recommend this product to other Mums as I am a firm believer in having children rear facing until they’re four unless you were on a really tight budget. The overall use is very similar to the car seat we use without being rear facing. I did think it was a steal for the price and was very padded and comfortable. All the covers could be removed to wash and it’s lightweight so easy to transfer between cars. It can also be used until the child is 12 so no having to buy other chairs.
Nicola: I would strongly recommend the product to mum friends, especially parents of different age range children. The chair does exactly what I want it to at a very competitive price and it is as good as any chair I have used in the past. It is lightweight yet has a well built solid feel which is something I look for in a car seat.
How did this product make your life easier?
Dannibelle: We are a family that drives regularly so having a suitable car seat for our infant is important. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Having a product like this that is used on a daily basis makes my job as a mum easier as our infant enjoys being in it and looks very comfortable. He sleeps well in it especially when it is leaning back.
Tejal: This is a great car seat which can be used for a very wide range of ages. It would be invaluable for grandparents to use as you only need one car seat until age 12. It can be assembled very easily and the detachable booster seat is great for the future as your baby grows up. It is easy to fit in the car and seems to be comfortable as my daughter loves sitting in it.
Charlotte: It’s easy to install and great to use. I wouldn’t use this on a child under 18-months-old that naps as their head can fall forward and it doesn’t feel 100% safe. However, it is perfect for my 3-year-old. He looks comfortable and it is a great fit. It’s light too so can be easily switched between different cars.
Would you choose this product to win?
Michelle: I’m not sure I would choose it to win. The low price makes it attractive but there is a certain amount of peace of mind afforded from an expensive car seat with a more robust feel to it. It is light and easy to carry but I did find it difficult to fit.
Karen: I struggled with the booster seat being separate to the back of the chair. However, I do feel that it is safe. I also found it impossible to remove the straps to make it into a stage three seat easily. I actually had to cut the strap to get it off as they are not required and I was worried that they could be a choking hazard or uncomfortable to sit on when a seat belt is all that is required.
Louise: I would choose this product for use with grandparents or short journeys. However, I don't feel that this would be a suitable seat for any lengthy journeys, on a regular basis, as it is a very basic model. Saying that it feels very secure and my baby looks very comfortable in it.
What changes would you make to this product?
Talisa: If I could change one thing about this product it would be the instructions, as it was very confusing. The picture on the back wasn’t helpful when working out where the belt needed to be so I had to make it up as I went along.
Bridgett: Our current car seat utilises an ISOfix base and being very safety conscious and aware of the latest EU regulations we didn’t feel entirely comfortable knowing that it was only a seatbelt holding the car seat in. Ideally, I would change this to have an ISOfix base for my own personal piece of mind. That said, the car seat is fully tested in compliance with the latest European safety standards.
Samantha: The one thing I would change about this product it’s ability to rear face. I believe it is becoming more and more apparent that this is the safest way for children to travel up until a certain age. The guidelines have already started to change for isize and eventually I believe it will change for all car seats. Giving people the option allows them to make the informed decision for themselves.
