Cybex Cloud Q

Your baby can travel in the car lying almost flat in this seat, so it’s a good option for babies who often fall asleep in the car, or for long car journeys that coincide with naps or bedtime.

The different recline settings can be adjusted with one hand, although they’re a bit fiddly at first. Out of the car, you can also use this as a lie-flat carrycot, and it attaches to Cybex and other pushchair frames – useful for moving your baby without waking her up. It’s suitable for use from birth until around 18 months.

Tested by Fiona Hatcher, 33, mum to Jude, seven weeks. She says:

I love the cosy newborn insert, and Jude did too – he fell asleep repeatedly when he was in the car.

The seat is fine to carry from car to house, but I almost gave myself a hernia lifting it on to a supermarket trolley. The sunshade is brilliant for naps. The recline feature is fiddly – I contemplated driving over the seat in frustration – but I sussed it eventually!

Tested by Vikki Slattery, 33, mum to Aidan, seven months. She says:

This was our favourite seat! It’s so soft and well-cushioned, although we haven’t quite mastered using the recline function yet. Aidan usually wails in the car, but he managed a two-hour journey
in this without so much as a whimper!

I really like the large canopy. The straps are super-easy to tighten and the adjustable headrest is also a fantastic addition.

Tested by Mahjabeen Brammall, 33, mum to Zahra, 12 months. She says:

The cushioning is so good that I’d like one myself! Zahra has lots of room and it’ll definitely last until 18 months. I love the colour and reclining feature.

The straps are easy to adjust and the canopy folds back neatly. Releasing the seat flummoxed me at first, but it’s easy once you have the knack. The only drawback is that it’s heavy to carry.

This is probably the most expensive baby car seat that I've put my baby in!  It seems more advanced than other baby car seats, allowing baby to stretch out as much as possible and yet I still feel she is nice and safe and snug!  There is a wide variety of positions  to which adjust the seat to make baby more comfortable.  My baby has certainly enjoyed her car rides in this!

This baby car seat seems so modern and designed with all of baby's safety and comfort needs in mind!  Knowing she is safe and snug when we are driving  makes life easier!

Loved this baby car seat! Stylish,  it has a very modern look to it, and apparently comes in a wide variety of colours.  Ample padding all over - especially around where the back of head and side of head rest. The padding on the chest and groin/tummy straps is soft too, so when tightened it didn't dig into my baby. The padding is also adjustable, so as baby grows your able to extend the headrest and spinal protection.

Liked the fact that the seat could be made reclineable, even though not completely when travelling.. I was quite happy to let my baby continue with his nap for a while in the seat when I took it out of the car.

My baby looked very safe in this baby car seat and liked ll the padding which while sturdy was very soft against his little body.  An additional feature that I had not come across in other baby cars seats, was that it could be turned into almost a carry cot when not in the car.  This was ideal for when my baby was still sleeping after a car journey.

This baby car seat was easy to put in and take out of the car without my baby getting disturbed too much.  I really liked the adjustable head rest and the padded cushioning for baby's protection.

This is an amazing car seat!  My baby is very safely and comfortably cocooned!  The various recline settings were handy as my baby likes to sleep in the car, and I was able to find one to suit her.

I liked the safety features on this seat which made my baby safe and secure.  I found the reclining settings a wee bit fiddly at first, but soon found the right one for my baby to be well stretched out for a long car journey.  This enabled her to have a peaceful sleep.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The different reclining settings make journeys for my little one a lot more comfortable than in some other car seats.  the more comfortable and peaceful baby is, the easier the car journey!

Tested by mum Aimée Higby, 25, from Essex, is mum to Aiden, six weeks old. She says:

‘The recline settings were tricky to adjust but Aiden stayed asleep long after we reached our destination, so it’s obviously comfy. It’s also really stylish.’

Tested by mum Helen Wood, 31, from Cambridgeshire, mum to Ethan, six months. She says:

‘I like the design and the adjustable headrest, which offers good support. But it’s expensive and heavy to move between the car and pushchair.’

Tested by Cora Fleming, 35, from Ipswich, mum to Lyla, 12 months. She says:

‘I love this seat. Lyla fell asleep in it quickly and slept for longer than she usually would in the car. But I found it heavy to lift when she was in it.’
