Weighing in at 3.2kg, the Joie i-Snug is an i-Size certified infant carrier.

Featuring Joie’s exclusive Tri-Protect headrest, this car seat offers security in the form of three layers of protection inside the side wings and Joie's patented Intelli-Fit memory foam in the infant pillow, keeping baby snug and protected at all times.

Travel system ready, the i-Snug pairs perfectly with select Joie pushchairs and features a multi-position, ergonomic carry handle and a curved base for rocking and relaxing when out and about. It has removable and machine washable covers, which we love!

We spoke to these real mum testers to get their review...

How did this product make your life easier?

Alexandra Lee says: "this is a great car seat for newborn, and can be used with or without an isofix making it easy to change between cars. Adapters can be bought so it can fit straight onto a pushchair which is useful rather than having to wake up a newborn. this car seat is really lightweight which makes it easier than most to carry around especially as baby gets bigger. instructions on the side are easy to follow for attaching into the car. when attached by the seatbelt in the car my child was in a comfy and secure position. I also liked that the hood was quite big so came down quite far with built-in SPF."

Katie Molloy says: "This is one of the lightest car seats on the market. My children are a good weight from birth so the lighter the car seat the better for me. It has a good level of recline so the baby appears well positioned in it with a good level of airway support. Its easy to attach to my travel system and fits nicely into a relatively small car."

Harriet Norton says: "An easy to use and practical car seat definitely makes my life easier as a mum, and this certainly fits the bill. It’s easy to fit and baby looks comfortable and in a good position in the seat. It’s very light and easy to move around which is something I find more challenging with other similar car seats."

Would you recommend this product to other parents?

Lucy Tement says: "If someone is looking for a lightweight, small car seat and quite cheap car seat I would recommend this to them. I think this would be ideal for someone who wants a second car seat that would be useful for a less used car and holidays etc. However, it wouldn't last the baby as long for recommending as a main car seat."

Alexandra Lee says: "I would recommend this product to a fellow mum because it is really good value for what you get. It is a good quality car seat with easy to use instructions, newborn insert, safety clip to hold baby in place and lightweight so easy to carry around. It comes fully built with a removable insert so no faffing about when it arrives!"

Katie Molloy says: "I would definitely recommend this car seat. It's lightweight design means its great for transporting babies especially when getting them in and out of the car. It is easy to use both with a seat belt and an isofix system and is able to attache to a travel system. My baby looked really comfortable in this seat."

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Harriet Norton says: "This seat seems more compact and lightweight than many on the market which makes it much more appealing when comparing it to other seats. It also seems very secure and comes out well in safety reviews. If I was to be buying a car seat now, I would certainly be considering this one over the one I currently have."

Lucy Tement says: "I don't think I would choose this product unless I had a particularly small car and a smaller baby. This wouldn't last my baby as long as others on the market so I would rather splash out on a slightly more expensive, heavier model rather than this. I also don't think it looks as good quality as some other brands."

Alexandra Lee says: "I think this is a great car seat and has some really good points including the fact that it is lightweight, easy to secure in place and I think this is a great car seat and has some really good points including the fact that it is lightweight, easy to secure in place and my child was very comfortable in it. He was in a good position, not too upright so his head was not rolling around!"

What changes would you make to this product?

Katie Molloy says: "I loved this car seat and would definitely purchase it again. It fitted easily into my small car and was easy to use with both a travel system and in the car. I think if they could add a recline feature to the product that would make it even more impressive but other than that I thought it was a great seat."

Harriet Norton says: "At present I can’t think of anything about this product that I would change as it seems to tick all of the boxes, and so far I have been very pleased when using it. I hope that this seat would continue to stand up to the test of time, as it seems excellent so far, and I have no complaints/negative thoughts."

Lucy Tement says: "I think this product has been made to be so light weight by sacrificing some of the capacity and so it doesn't last baby as long. I would rather make the product very slightly heavier in order to last baby longer (our seat lasts for an extra 10cm in height) before having to move them up to the next car seat (which are often forward facing and so less safe)."
