The Britax Xtensafix is an attractive looking seat that’s easy to install. ISOFIX and ‘teether’ mechanisms help secure the product, which is not as heavy as other car seats and is comfortable too.

The head rest adjusts as your child grows but the straps can be a bit finicky, not pulling quite as freely as they should. The chair barely reclines but the seat is excellent value for money, lasting from 9 months to 12 years; converting to a booster seat at around 5 years of age (or 18kg). A versatile, safe car seat – good value for money!
