We spoke to these real parent testers to get their review...

How did this product make your life easier?

Sarah Abraham says: "It makes my life easier in a number of ways: 1) quick and easy for those days when your toddlers are crazy or you have been out and about and you need a quick nutritious meal 2) even though I'm im providing a quick meal i know I'm providing a healthy and nutritious option 3) available to buy when I am getting the rest of my shopping 3) packaging convenient whilst also attractive to children."

Claire Ackom-Mensah says: "The Little Dish toddler meals are very convenient and at least you know you are still giving your child healthy meals. I have found them really useful for busy days when I have needed something quick and easy to feed a hungry toddler. They have always been well received and enjoyed by both my boys. The fish pie has always been a favourite!"

Nicola Adams says: "These meals are nutritious, tasty and great when you need a quick meal without the guilt that you are giving your child ‘fast food’ Having a meal that you can heat quickly and forms part of a nutritious meal that can be prepared in minutes is a real plus. They take the stress away when you need a meal for your child and you don’t have much time or haven’t been to the shops!"

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Marion Adigun says: "Yes. The company lots a lot of emphasis on nutrition and making food fun. It is easy to carry like most microwaveable meals. I like the characters on the packaging, they are fun and my kids recognise them. The packaging also is very child friendly. I think the meals are nutritionally balanced, although my child did not like some of the meals."

Laura Aggarwal says: "I would recommend to other mums as a healthier option for those times when you are rushing back from somewhere and haven't had chance to prepare a meal and your toddler is already hungry. The quality of the meals was good and my little one enjoyed eating them - particularly the pasta bolognese. The portion size was good. I felt these products removed some of the guilt from giving your child a "ready meal" as it was a fresh product without additives and preservatives. They have an attractive child friendly packaging design with an animal theme - excellent for most wildlife obsessed toddlers. I talked to my toddler about the animals and food items shown on the packet whilst waiting for it to warm in the microwave. The meals also have clearly marked the important points that you would look for as a parent selecting food for their toddler including '1 of your 5 a day' and 'no additives or preservatives'."

Katy Aggarwal says: "The meals were easy to reheat with clear instructions and were completely hot so I felt very safe feeding them to the children. The allergens were clearly stated and the packaging was attractive but easy to navigate- this was useful when searching for cooking instructions whilst holding a screaming, hungry 20 month old! The food was tasty, with no added salt, preservatives or unneeded sugars."

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Imogen Agnew says: "I really liked the variety on offer, a nice mix of meat and vegetable based dishes with interesting flavours and a good serving of vegetables in each which is really important to me. They were easy and quick to heat in the microwave and the taste was good. Most of the packaging seemed to be recyclable."

April Ainsley says: "These are definitely a superior product to others in the market. I choose these over other makes. This is due to the design, taste and general quality Design: colourful, inviting and easy to use. Instructions are clear and easy to follow Taste: my toddler loves all flavours. They are just like small plates of any normal adult meal. I love this. Quality: packaging and ingredients appear to be the best quality. These are equally important to me as a parent."

Harriet Ainsworth says: "I would absolutely purchase this product over other ready meals for children, as I love the brand, and what they stand for, as well as the healthy element. Little Dish make the foods appealing, and fun for little ones, and have so many great things online to help encourage your child to try new foods."

What changes would you make to this product?

Dawn Airey says: "The quantity of the chicken in some of the meals was relatively small in comparing to the sizing of the dishes, maybe adding more to be considered. The consistency of the curry sauce in the Veg Dhal was more like a soup, I think potentially adding chunked/mashed veg rather than pureed would be better dish than the runnier soup like consistency."

Sarah Abraham says: "I would potentially prefer the product to be q bit cheaper, to make them affordable for all parents! I am lucky that we have always been in a situation where we could afford these but in comparison to some adult sized meals these are more expensive so it could put a lot of parents off - i have definitely considered buying adult meals and splitting them over these in the past for the same reason."

Claire Ackom-Mensah says: "There isn't much I would really suggest changing about the product. Anything that would assist in the packaging being more recyclable would be useful and more environmentally friendly. And new meal options would always be welcomed. However overall this is a product I like, my children like and I would buy again."
