At a glance:

Cow & Gate follow on milk provides the key nutrients to support your baby's development from 6-12 months. The milk is high in Iron, Vitamin D, and calcium to support their cognitive development and bone development.

How did this product make your life easier?

Tessa: I have been able to make my baby's feeds more efficiently as the built-in leveller saves time. I have also found the formula powder mixes quickly and easily with the water so my baby gets his bottle quicker. I have also found that my baby is less sick/refluxy after feeds which have saved me time changing clothes and cleaning up sick from the carpet, floor, car seat, and cot.

Kate: Measuring out the correct amount is made very simple using the provided scoop. The package also comes with a handy lip so as to help avoid making a mess and keep the powder in the tub. Whilst on maternity leave, money can be an issue, so the price of the product is one of the best around without losing quality.

Anna: The container is easily storable and locks again to keep the powder airtight. The box is also quite big so it lasted around a week which made my life easier as I didn’t need to go back and forth to the shops to get more. I think it would be useful to have a small size container also to keep inside the nappy bag for emergencies.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Ellen: I have used a number of different formulas previously but sometimes found the formula didn't mix correctly and left a slight residue on the bottle. I find this formula mixes well the first time, every time. I am also pleased that the formula also comes in different sizes and readymade bottles. This is imperative for a busy mum of four!

Tessa: I would definitely recommend this product to friends and other mums. It is quick and easy to make up feeds. The formula powder mixes well with water and there is no residual power left after my baby has finished his feed. However, I have found that the feed is quite frothy. I feel that my baby has been less refluxy/sick after feeds since using this product. I think that this product is excellent value for money.

Kate: I would recommend this product to a friend or fellow mum because it is popular so you can be confident of getting high quality while it remains at a reasonable price for mums on maternity leave who may have to look after the purse strings. I also find that my baby really likes which I can tell my friends and be confident they are getting reliable information.

Would you choose this product to win?

Anna: I would choose this product over all-overs as the brand is very reputable and puts me at ease that I am feeding my child the correct nutrients needed to grow and stay healthy. I know exactly what is in the milk, it's stated on the tin and the packaging and the instructions are clear on how many fluid ounces to give to my baby. Cow and Gate is slightly cheaper than most other brands. I would definitely recommended this product to other mums to use for their babies and will be continuing this product with my own child.

Tessa: I think this product should win in the best product for the bottle feeding category as it is quick and easy to use, value for money and I think it complements a balanced weaning diet well in terms of providing all the nutrients my baby needs. I also feel that this product has had health benefits for my baby who has been less sick/refluxy after his feeds since having this product.

Kate: I would most certainly choose this product over others on the market. It is very high quality as you would expect for a popular brand for an affordable price. It comes in a package that is convenient and helps save time when it comes to feeding time which can make mine and baby's life much easier. This product is by far the best out there for me and my baby.

What changes would you make to this product?

Ellen: I do sometimes find the lid pops open if I squeeze the pot too tightly when getting it down off the shelf. This isn't a huge deal as it may just be that I need to be more careful but I feel that it would easily be knocked over and wasted. If the lid was a bit more stable that wouldn't be a concern.

Tessa: The only thing I would change about this product is that the feeds are quite frothy/foamy when formula power and water are mixed which can sometimes make it a little bit more difficult/effortful for my baby to have his feed from the bottle. I think if this product was less frothy/foamy it would enable my baby to have his feed from his bottle a bit more easily.

Kate: Sometimes I have a little bit of trouble closing the lid. I may not notice that it hasn’t closed properly which could lead to moisture getting into the tub and making the powder clump together. I also think the packaging pictures are more aimed at children compared to others. It would be better if the packaging was tailored more towards adults.
