Would you recommend this to other mums?
Michelle: It comes in a small handy container with an easy-to-use pump. It has a smooth silky texture and is not too thick meaning it is quick and easy to apply. You do not have to rub it in too hard which means it is not painful to apply, unlike some other thicker nipple balms. It is also nice to use any leftover as a lip balm!
Sandra: I would recommend this product because I like the results I got from using it. My nipples were very comfortable during and after feeds. I like the dispensing method because I think it makes a mums life easier. It is a great product.
Amy: I would recommend this product. It gives instant relief when applied and also prevented cracked nipples occurring again. It is easy to apply and does not impact on feeding. The design is a dispenser which allows you to pump a small amount out to reduce wastage. Although it is more expensive, you get more applications out of it and there is less waste.
How did this product make your life easier?
Angela: When starting breastfeeding I tried a few products before being referred to this. I had even tried natural remedies to ease the pain. The great thing about this product is that it is small, compact and has a push button rather than a tube so you feel you get more for your money. I don't believe there is a way to improve this product or make it better. I would only improve on the marketing as I hadn't heard of this product. I wish I could buy it in supermarkets.
Salman: I love this product. It is great for many uses - as a nipple cream to soothe nipples, great as a nappy rash cream for babies bottoms or for cuts, grazes and burns. It made my life easier as I could just throw it into my changing bag and use it when needed.
Charlotte: I loved using this nipple balm as you can apply it one handed and it is less greasy than other leading brands. There is no need to soften it first either! It is really great at treating cracked nipples and doubles up as a fantastic lip balm. Anything which makes breastfeeding easier is invaluable and worth investing in.
Would you choose this product to win?
Winnie: I like that this is not thick like the other leading brands of nipple balm I used when I had my first child. It is easier to apply as it just glides on. You can operate the pump with just one hand which is always a bonus when you have a newborn and a toddler in the same house! It is 100% natural so you don't have to worry about it being harmful to your baby.
Michelle: Although it is a nice texture and is easy to apply, I think the cost would put me off using this product. There are cheaper nipples balms available which I think I would use. Although it is probably slightly better quality than the other nipple balms I have used I don’t think I would be able to justify the increased cost.
Sandra: I would place this product as second best because of the price. The best seller costs £6.50 less and still does a good job. Even though there are definite advantages to the shape of the bottle and the consistency, I do not feel that these can justify a large price difference. Apart from that, it is a great product.
What changes would you make to this product?
Amy: This product is on the expensive side. However, the dispenser design means more accurate amounts can be used instead of wasting product. When taking this into consideration and the fact that this balm is much thinner and easier to apply, I think this product is good value for money. I would pay the price for this product.
Angela: I would make it taller and thinner so you are able to get it through the letterbox. I think the price at £16.50 is on the steep side even though I think it is worth it. I think before you tried this product you wouldn't be willing to spend that kind of money without knowing what you were getting.
Salman: If I could change one thing it would have to be the price. I think this item is a bit pricey and a lot of mums would not go for it for this reason. If the price was lower, more mums would be able to afford it and benefit from such a great product. This is the only thing I would change as it is a great all-round product.
