Bepanthen Stretch Mark Cream

This stretch mark cream came in an easy-to-use bottle, had a pleasant smell, and melts into the skin.

For those who do not like strong, heady fragrances this is great. However, as the tube is opaque, you cannot tell how much of the product is left. Perhaps the packaging could be changed so you can see how much is left. Also, it would be helpful to have ridges on the container to ensure hands weren’t too slippy on the bottle.

The look and scent could be made more luxurious, rather than feeling basic and practical. The price is a bit high given its basic feel – making it more luxurious would justify the price more. It looks a bit too much like the nappy rash cream you most associate with this brand.

It boosts skins elasticity and increases softness. The container is easy to transport in a wash bag. It has a small nozzle so doesn't release too much at once.

It was good to use a cream rather than an oil, which you normally associate with stretch mark products, and it could be used in the morning rather than just in the evening like you would an oil. It felt great on the skin - very soothing and relaxing.

Tested by mum Rachel Simons for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

There is a lot in one 150ml that will see you throughout the pregnancy and beyond. It has a pump action dispenser that allows you to get the right amount of cream out with no wastage. It is easy to apply and soaks into the skin quickly leaving to stickiness or oily residue and does make your skin feel softer. My stretch marks have certainly faded a little already.

How did this product make your life easier?

It is very quick and easy to apply taking less than five minutes first thing in the morning and last thing at night. As it isn't a liquid it doesn't spill everywhere and does not stain clothing as it soaks into the skin straight away. It is easy to dispense due to the pump action top. It makes sore skin where it is starting to stretch feel soothed and moisturises too.

Would you choose this product to win?

I have used many stretch mark oils in the past and to be honest I give up on them very quickly as I do not like the way they leave the skin feeling sticky and oily and it marks my clothing too. Bepanthen Stretch Mark Cream does not do this as it is a cream it soaks into the skin leaving no stickiness or an other residue.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would not change this at all, it does exactly what it says on the bottle, nourishes and moisturises the skin which makes it softer and more supple. It has worked even though it has only been a few weeks I can notice that my stretch marks are fading a little. It is quick and easy to apply which makes it easier for tired pregnant mums and those with newborns.

Tested by mum Louise Quinn for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend Bepanthen Stretch Mark Cream as it made my skin feel amazing. It is a thicker cream so you can really feel the difference once it is absorbed. It smells divine and left my skin soft and supple. I used this product after having my baby and I think it helped reduce the visibility of my mummy stripes.

How did this product make your life easier?

I believe that Bepanthen Stretch Mark Cream has give me a little of my confidence back. It feels like a treat to apply morning and night and has reduced my stretch marks so I am a little less embarrassed if my top rides up. With the quality of the cream and the lovely smell it’s like a mini luxury to myself on a daily basis.

Would you choose this product to win?

It is a rich luxuriant cream which makes your skin feel both soft and supple, smells amazing and can help reduce stretch marks during pregnancy and help towards the reduction of stretch marks post pregnancy. It is the best cream I have used for this purpose throughout my baby journey.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I would change about this product is the price. £25 for 150ml bottle seems a little high. Although the product lasts a long time I feel it should be priced lower as pregnancy can be a tough time for money. I would recommend it be lowered to £15 as this would make it more realistically priced for the average person.
