For pregnancy, birth and beyond, Holistic Kitchen Magic Foo Mist is a blend of lavender, roman chamomile, rose geranium, frankincense and more. It's a cooling and soothing mist that has results in fighting infection and healing the skin. It will also speed up the healing process after having your baby too.

How did this product make your life easier?

Lena: Holistic Kitchen Magic Foo Mist is a lovely cooling and soothing spray, which is very versatile and smells amazing. It was great to be able to prepare and freeze pads in advance, to have them handy when needed. These were particularly useful for post-partum sore bits. I also sprayed it directly onto pillows for a bit of aromatherapy to help sleep.

Helen: This product aims to soothe and calm at a time when your life has been turned upside down. When your baby arrives you have so little time to think about yourself but if you have had a difficult birth, your body needs a bit of attention and TLC. This product is easy and quick to use and can make you feel a lot more comfortable which means you are in better shape to care for your baby.

Alexa: The long list of natural ingredients really does promote healing, which is essential in the immediate weeks after birth to help your "foo" recover quicker and get you back on your feet. The company recommends spraying maternity pads with the Holistic Kitchen Magic Foo Mist and storing them in the freezer so they can be pre-prepared ahead of time. I personally found the soothing benefits limited from the frozen pads I'd prepared and therefore found them more of a faff to make. I instead sprayed the mist onto a fresh pad each day for the benefits of its healing properties. The spray has a very calming smell which provides a lovely fresh scent that lasts throughout the day.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Jennifer: Post-birth is a challenging time on your best days! This product helps to ease pain and discomfort as well as, in my experience, promote faster healing. After the initial healing time, the product then helps to make you feel fresher and cleaner when still experiencing post-partum bleeding. It can also be used on pads to make the soothing effect last slightly longer.

Pearly: The Magic Foo Mist is made with great quality ingredients that you can tell from the smell. There is nothing synthetic about it. It’s made with all-natural ingredients. The spray is calming and soothing. Which also works for the treatment of inflammation but is also an antibacterial. It works at aiding healing too.

Rachael: When trying this product I looked into it and the brand on social media. It’s a lovely small business and I really enjoyed looking at the other products and also seeing that it’s made by a mum. This made me feel more trust in the brand. I liked the packaging and what the brand stood for it’s also great to support small businesses.

Would you choose this product to win?

Jamie: I don't think this product should win, I didn't like it at all. The price is too expensive, I can't see many new parents able to shell out the money to buy this product when they have a baby to look after. I could buy a tin of baby milk and a half a week's worth of nappies for the same price. My midwives told me to just use plain warm water on my C Section wound in order for it to heal properly it did just fine. The watery consistency of the product didn't feel nice on my C Section scar which I felt needed a product more moisturising now the scar was closed.

Anastasia: I would choose the Holistic Kitchen Magic Foo Mist as it smells so great I could wear this as a perfume, it’s organic, and the packaging. I think it might be slightly too expensive but I also think other similar products would be similarly priced. It would be good if you could send this product out earlier so people can actually test it in the early postpartum period.

Rachael: I loved the Holistic Kitchen Magic Foo Mist I also really liked the small brand so I would choose to support that and also it doesn’t use plastic packaging which is an added bonus. I liked it more than similar products also as the scent wasn’t too overpowering or too subtle it was just the right amount. I think it does stand out from others.

What changes would you make to this product?

Alexa: The nozzle! I would like to be able to hold the bottle at different angles and still spray the mist effectively so it can easily be directly applied to your "foo" and not just onto pads first. The nozzle simply does not have adequate power to be able to apply it directly, which I feel lets it down somewhat.

Lena: The main drawback for me is the price point. I couldn't justify buying it at this price for myself. Perhaps offering different sized bottles for different budgets would be helpful. I'm also not enamoured with the name - when I first heard about Holistic Kitchen Magic Foo Mist, I wasn't sure whether it was a serious product.

Jamie: There are a few things I would change about this product. The price, as I mentioned in previous answers it's too expensive for what it is. The consistency of the product would also be something I would change. I used it on my C-Section scar and it just felt like I was rubbing perfumed water on my skin it didn't feel like it was doing anything beneficial. There are so many ingredients in this mist that when I first smelt it I didn't like it, I felt like the product was trying to be a jack of all trades but master of none by having so many ingredients to it.
