Overview:

The Lansinoh HPA Lanolin nipple cream is a simple, but effective product that we adore. Made from natural ingredients, you don’t need to wipe it off before feeding your baby. To top things off, it’s also great value for money.

How did this product make your life easier?

Jessica: This product was an absolute godsend in the early days of breastfeeding. Without it, I would have almost certainly stopped in the first few weeks. I suffered badly with fissuring and cracking of the nipples whilst I was trying to establish breastfeeding and this product was both soothing and effective in treating this.

Rebecca: This product saved my breastfeeding journey and made it possible to continue which means everything to a mother who wants to breastfeed her child. The product was extremely soothing, applied easily, with the bonus function that one could leave the product on the skin to breastfeed. It is safe to use for mother and child. It is very convenient especially when you consider that you could be breastfeeding your child up to 12 times a day to know that you do not have to worry about putting the cream on and off.

Sophie: When I started breastfeeding it didn't take long for my nipples to become irritated or sore. Once I started using this product it did not take long for it to work after the first application and it is so easy to use as you do not need to remove before each feed. It comes in a portable container which makes it easy to use whilst feeding out and about.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Hannah: I would recommend this product to a fellow mum due to the ease of use and effectiveness. The product does appear to help to relieve some of the soreness produced when first breastfeeding. This soreness can massively impact someone's breastfeeding journey so any product that can be used to make this easier is commendable.

Joanne: I’d recommend Lansinoh because of its versatility and the fact it lasts absolutely ages! You only need the tiniest bit and it goes a long way. It can be used for breastfeeding on cracked & sore nipples with no risk to baby, which is a massive bonus. Also comes in handy for stubborn dry patches elsewhere.

Beverley: I would recommend this product to a friend or fellow mum because it is easy to use and it does what it says on the package. I like the way that it is a small tube so it is easily transportable in my nappy bag and I can pop it on my nipples discreetly. I also like the fact that you don’t need to have pads or other things to use it.

Would you choose this product to win?

Hannah: The main benefit of this product compared to others on the market is the fact that it does not need to be removed before use / is safe to breastfeed with. This means a mum doesn't need to worry about having to remove the product every time she goes to breastfeed which is particularly helpful if she is feeding regularly.

Joanne: I’d choose Lansinoh over other products because it’s safe for baby & Mum, also because it’s so versatile and excellent value for money. Even if you’ve run out of nappy cream it can double up as an alternative! The list is endless for this fab product. It lasts forever too and is distinctive in the lilac-coloured tube.

Sophie: This was the first cream I ever tried when it came to nipple care. Because it worked so well, I never felt the need to look for another cream. So I decided to choose this product because it is easy to get hold of from most shops or online. It is useful, effective, simple to use and good value for money.

What changes would you make to this product?

Joanne: If I could change one thing about the product I might possibly give it a subtle organic scent. Nothing too obvious but something very mild might be nice to add a little luxury when you are covered in baby sick and up to your neck in nappies! Possibly vanilla or a mild floral smell that wouldn’t alter the consistency.

Kate: I think the packaging of the HPA Lanolin could be improved. When it is cold the product is very difficult to squeeze out and I have had to remember to stick it under my leg while feeding so it is useable after the feed. Maybe a larger hole or different dispenser would make it easier to get out when it is colder. I also don't like the sharp pointed corners at the top of the tube and I have scratched myself on these in the past.

Amy: I really can't think of anything I would change about this product it just seems so natural. Maybe different designs on the bottles are the only thing I could think of, different colours or patterns. The cream itself is perfect I love the fact there is no colour or smell to it and it stays on nicely.
